The Reds go into this game boosted by the return of Cody Gakpo, while Curtis Jones returns following his three-game ban
Liverpool face Toulouse in their third Europa League fixture on Thursday night and Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a number of changes to the starting line-up.
Our writers are predicting their starting XI, with Theo Squires predicting just the nine changes. See what the rest of our Liverpool writers are saying ahead of the 8pm kick-off.But then the same could be said for those who believe the latter's anthem is superior to that of the former. Not in goal, though. That's Caoimhin Kelleher, who can return after his recent injury setback. Joe Gomez is right-back, with Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate the centre-backs. Tricky one at left-back, but it's time to give Luke Chambers a full debut.
As ever, the big question around the Europa League is just how many changes Jurgen Klopp will see fit to make. The question for me is whether Calum Scanlon or Luke Chambers get the nod to what would be a full, senior debut. Scanlon represents the more adventurous of the two but Chambers is capable of operating more centrally should Gomez move into midfield on the other side. That’s one for Klopp to wrestle with.
Only the nine from me today. Kostas Tsimikas can continue at left-back, despite the claims of Academy starlets Luke Chambers and Calum Scanlon, in hope the Greek can find rhythm and play his way into form.
