New Liverpool head coach Arne Slot will lead the Reds into a new era in the Champions League this season
Liverpool may have only been out of the Champions League for a season. But they return to a competition next month that has undergone its most significant revamp in almost two decades. The draw for the first stage proper takes place in Monaco this evening at 5pm UK time with new head coach Arne Slot's side set to discover the start of their route which they hope will lead to the final in Munich next May.
Pot two consists of Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Juventus, Benfica, Arsenal, Bruges, Shakhtar Donetsk and AC Milan. With the final play-off round having been completed on Wednesday, the final two pots have also been settled. Pot three sees Dinamo Zagreb, Salzburg, Lille, Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys join Feyenoord, Sporting Lisbon, PSV Eindhoven and Celtic.
