There's a reason hen parties, stag dos, student nights and visitors to the city all make a pilgrimage to the city's clubs.
We've scoured the likes of Concert Square, Mathew Street, the Pride Quarter and the Baltic to determine which clubs deserve your attention, as well as detailing what makes them so great. Although there is room in our hearts for all of the fantastic venues in the city, we decided to narrow it down to just eight favourites. Below is our list of the best clubs in the city, which help make Liverpool's nightlife scene legendary. 24 Kitchen Street appeals to customers from every walk of life. There aren't many venues that can sell out an evening to garage fans, lovers of grime and disco dancers. The magic of 24 Kitchen Street is down to its programme of events. There are no two events the same in any calendar month - and yet everything feels spiritually connected and a part of the Kitchen Street's identity. The building is unremarkable from the outside, but crucially it is filled with like-minded people enjoying the music they love. Although it's on the outskirts of the city, it's arguably far better than a prime location as it weeds out the folk who may wander in accidentally. The people who go to Kitchen Street are there for a reason and its to have an amazing time. Years ago the best club in the city was Krazyhouse. Emo, punk and rock music was split across three floors and there was no wilder place to be in the city centre as a student. Sadly, 'the K' closed in 2018 and left a gaping hole in all of our hearts. Thankfully, today's generation has its spiritual successor in Electrik Warehouse which feels like a similar concept, in the same building, but with a striking new image
