Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate has been left disappointed after it emerged that the Reds have been beaten to the signing of Khephren Thuram by Juventus
Ibrahima Konate looks set for disappointment as international colleague Khephren Thuram is on course to shun Liverpool and join Juventus.
However, The Mirror reported the Reds are set to miss out as Thuram has agreed to follow in the footsteps of legendary father Lilian, who notched more than 200 appearances for Juve and secured two Serie A titles.
"Khephren is like my little brother. He's someone I saw growing up. I was with his big brother in the training centre, but I saw him grow. I saw him perform and progress at a level... it was incredible. Even when he came to the France team for his first selection. I saw him at the training, and I was really surprised by his size and technical ease."
