Federico Chiesa met Arne Slot for the first time at the AXA Training Centre on Friday after signing for Liverpool from Juventus
Federico Chiesa trained with his new Liverpool team-mates for the first time on Friday after joining the Reds in an initial £10m move from Juventus. The Italian’s transfer was confirmed on Thursday, with the forward then reporting for duty at the AXA Training Centre the following day. The 26-year-old met his new team-mates at Kirkby , and was pictured embracing the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Meanwhile, he also met his new head coach, Arne Slot , for the first time.
“If injuries might come up in the upcoming two days we might need him, but I don’t expect him to be in but I cannot guarantee this. “We should take care of him in the beginning because he didn't train with the team in the last two weeks – but before he did. “Hasn't played many game minutes yet but we have a very good performance staff, so we will build him up in the right way and then hopefully we can see his quality in the near future.
