Liverpool transfer news, rumours, gossip and speculation including the latest on Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, Jurgen Klopp Ryan Gravenberch, Cheick Doucoure, the build-up to Newcastle United and more
Good morning and welcome to our Liverpool FC transfer blog for Sunday, August 27.
Liverpool head to Tyneside this afternoon for their third Premier League fixture of the season. The Reds are chasing their second win of the season, following their triumph over AFC Bournemouth last weekend. The trip to St James' Park provides an opportunity for Jurgen Klopp to assert their early hopes to quality for the Champions League, against the team who took up one of the four places for the competition.
Meanwhile, Deadline Day is approaching and Liverpool are in the thick of it. Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad have registered an interest in Mohamed Salah and some speculative reports suggest the Reds attacker will play his final game before leaving Anfield. Elsewhere, Ryan Gravenberch remains linked with a move to the Reds, as well as Cheick Doucoure of Crystal Palace.
