Liverpool take on Ipswich Town at Anfield on Saturday
Liverpool's Premier League clash against Ipswich Town is set to go ahead as planned this weekend at Anfield - despite the strong winds and disruption caused by Storm Eowyn. The Red return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon and know victory over Kieran McKenna's side will ensure title rival Arsenal remain firmly in the rearview mirror. But there has been some fear that several games in the Premier League this weekend could fall victim to Stom Eowyn.
However, the weather is set to pick up in Liverpool and the surrounding areas headings into the weekend, with the yellow warning from the Met Office only lasting until 11:59pm on Friday night. At the time of writing, no Premier League games have been recalled off due to Storm Eowyn, though Everton under-21s Premier League 2 clash with Newcastle United has been postponed. A statement by Everton on Thursday confirmed that the clash at Newcastle would take place on Monday instead.
