Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group will be disappointed after pulling out of a deal to buy Bordeaux., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed the former Champions League outfit represented “exceptional value” for the US investors.
FSG had been in talks to buy French club Bordeaux but it has recently emerged the Boston-based firm has pulled out of the negotiations. revealed FSG cited future maintenance costs of the stadium, plus the general uncertainty over the financial stability of football in the country as their biggest concerns.
