This article highlights shocking cases of neighborly misconduct in our region, ranging from public indecency to violent assaults. The piece features stories that emerged from court cases and reader investigations, showcasing the impact of these actions on victims' lives.

Your home is supposed to be a haven where you can escape life's pressures and relax in comfort. But some people in our region have had their peace disrupted by neighbours who have made their lives a living hell.

A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: “This issue is subject to an ongoing investigation and we will be communicating with the affected residents accordingly.” When the ECHO attempted to talk to the owner of the property, he refused to engage with us, simply saying, "no comment".. Marcus Shaw smashed the homeowner's kitchen window to gain entry while she was away before apparently sleeping in her bed.

The couple and their dogs were forced to flee their home in terror as Claire Shacklock began to set items on fire and launch them at their back door. They have been left convinced that they "could have died" during the arson attack, which was said to have "turned their lives upside down". One mum said: "People use that garden all the time including the kids to play football and the next minute this fella and his girlfriend are having drunken sex in this hot tub. Someone went over and told them to pack it in but they didn't care because they were so drunk."

Occupants of nearby properties had to resort to drastic measures, including sleeping in their cars and having to wear pairs of ear defenders when sitting in their gardens. Another homeowner considered moving house, while one woman in her 70s said she felt "trapped in her home" and decided not to retire as working was her "only escape from the noise".
