A contractor has been indicted on grand larceny charges in Livingston County.

He was arrested for skipping town after failing to appear in county court to answer charges that were first filed against him in 2012. Douglas Shanley was arraigned in Livingston County Court Wednesday morning. The new allegations stem from a client, who reported Shanley to authorities in 2022 in relation to thefts from a construction job.
Shanley is no stranger to law enforcement. From 2013 to 2016, he was accused of skipping town multiple times when he was wanted for defrauding dozens of people.
