The Liberian international came good on his promise as the Lions ran out 3-2 winners at Easter Road.
Livingston goal hero Mo Sangare was hailed by boss David Martindale as his wonderstrike licked Hibs - and cost Lee Johnson his job.
Martindale said: "I think I was the only one in the stadium shouting, ‘Mo, don’t shoot’. We do a shooting drill where Mo says, ‘Gaffer, I’m going to lick it’ and every week I go, ‘Mo, when I am going to see this ball getting licked?’“It was a fantastic strike but it’s one of the reasons I brought him into the club. He’s aggressive, he’s got great mobility. He’s still got a lot of learning in the game because he’s a late developer.
Martin Boyle pounced on a throw-in just after the hour mark, cut inside and slammed the ball high into the roof of the net beyond Shamal George. But Livi were in front barely 60 seconds later when Penrice's cross found an unmarked Bruce Anderson at the back post for a simple header.
