First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos has dismissed speculations that she is preparing to run for the Senate amid her recent participation in an outreach program.
In an interview on the "TUNE in kay Tunying" online program posted on Friday, the First Lady brought up the topic when asked about allegations that she is planning to stay in Malacañang through the push of Charter change under her husband's administration."My favorite is, 'Oh I'm doing Lab for All because I'm going to run for Senate.' Sabi ko pati ba naman 'yan nilagyan ng... kasi tatakbo ako, ganyan ganyan.
When she moved to Ilocos from New York, the First Lady said there were also people speculating that she was going to run for a local position when President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. was the provincial governor."Nine years kami diyan, every election, kesyo na-suspend ito, tatakbo ako, either way, namatay, ako tatakbo. Gusto ko sabihin because I teach election law, alam mo kayo, hindi ako registered voter. Mag-isip naman kayo ng kaunti.
