Sunday is slated to be soggy in New England. But Boston sports fans have a robust slate: ◽️ Red Sox at Brewers 2:10 p.m. ◽️ Bruins at Panthers (Game 4) 3:30 p.m. ◽️ Celtics at Hawks (Game 4) 7:00 p.m. Welcome to a dream triple-header. ✍️ BuckinBoston
playoffs begin, it’s a lucky break that Sunday’s starting times are arranged in such a way — 2:10 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 7 p.m. — that viewers needn’t busy themselves with setting up multiple screens or wearing out the remote. That’s precisely what happened on Friday night, when the Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox were playing simultaneously.
My Friday night plan? I had deemed the Bruins the most important game, given their loss to the Panthers in Game 2 Wednesday night in Boston. With the Celtics holding a 2-0 series lead over the Hawks, I had Friday’s Game 3 on a smaller screen. I relegated Red Sox-Brewers to the running boxscore on my laptop, though I did live look-ins during Bruins and/or Celtics timeouts and intermissions.
New Englanders needn’t trifle with much in the way of switching around on Sunday, the day of the Perfect Boston Sports Storm. Anyone with an interest in watching all three games in real time should be able to catch four or five innings of Red Sox-Brewers before switching over to Bruins-Panthers. That’ll take you right up to Game 4 of the Celtics-Hawks series.
