To try to alleviate the space crisis plaguing local animal shelters, the area’s seven largest shelters are teaming up to find homes for 400 pets by Memorial Day .

The shelters have launched the “It’s Gonna Be May” Adoption Promotion, running until May 27, with each shelter offering unique adoption specials.: Offering a 50% discount on adoption fees for all pets, with spay/neuter deposits still applicable. Their goal is to find homes for 50 puppies and 80 adult dogs.: Waiving fees for any dog or cat aged 7 months or older, excluding small breed dogs. Their goal is to find homes for 21 dogs and 15 kittens.
