There's something about custom shoes that gets us so excited. Local artist and custom shoe designer Nard Got Sole visited us for Astros Opening Day to show us exactly how he turns basic sneakers into works of art.

He’s a sneaker artist who has designed custom shoes for everyone from fans to local celebs. His venture stemmed from his love for art and shoes. Nard tells us he started in sneaker restoration, but then someone asked about a custom pair. One day he decided to merge his passions and hasn’t looked back.
He’s commissioned shoes for celebrities and artists, Kendrick Lamar, Michael Bublé, Mary J. Blige, and Houston’s own Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Trae Tha Truth, and Bun B. Houston Life host Tessa Barrera has a pair he designed for her after the Astros won the World Series in 2022.We asked him to join us in the studio for Astros Opening Day to design a pair of sneakers. We checked on him throughout the show and he knocked it out of the park.
