River City star Gayle Telfer-Stevens, MP Martin Docherty-Hughes, MSP Jackie Baillie and Bargain Hunt’s Roo Irvine all popped in to offer their congratulations - as the community station hit the digital airwaves for the first time.
Lomond Radio welcomed plenty of familiar faces to their Strathleven House studios, as they celebrated launching on DAB with a 76 hour radiothon.
Since then it has grown from strength-to-strength - boasting a packed schedule of shows covering everything, from up and coming artists to local sports news. He told the Lennox: “The launch weekend went very well and we received guests and well wishers over the weekend including MP Martin Docherty-Hughes, Dame Jackie Baillie, Provost McAllister and Deputy Provost Millar.
“Roo will also be joining the Lomond Radio team as a volunteer presenter once she has completed a busy filming schedule and we’re really pleased to have her on the team. “We’re also looking forward to launching on DAB in the local area, the first Inverclyde transmitter should be live from May 18 and will serve the Clyde Coast, Dumbarton and into the Leven Valley.
