A Virgin Atlantic flight from New York to London made an emergency landing in Boston after a phone charger caught fire

Smoke appeared in the cabin, forcing Flight 138 to descend about 25 minutes into its journey to Heathrow, information from Flightaware showed.Massachusetts State Police's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit examined the Airbus A330 after it touched down and found that a device wedged between seat cushions had ignited.
"Preliminary investigation suggests it is a battery pack consistent in appearance with an external phone charger," a police spokesman said.One passenger refused treatment for a smoke-related complaint, officers said.
