Great Southern Copper shared that the scale of the target for the company's maiden drilling program at the Mostaza mine has increased due to the recognition of significant zones of additional Cu-Ag mineralisation in historical drill-hole assays and surface rock chip samples.Preparations for the start of drilling continue with archaeological and environmental surveys are now completed, and it has selected its drilling company via tender.
"In total we now have a greater than 6km x 3km mineralised footprint at Garfield, with confirmation of porphyry and skarn as well as epithermal mineralisation across the now four principal target zones. Given the dramatic progress made with Garfield, the company is quickly moving towards finalising drill targets to drive this very exciting project forward," chief executive Oliver Friesen said.Shares in Guardian were up 1.
