Kazatomprom obtained a 6-year subsoil license for uranium exploration at block 5 of the Budenovskoye deposit in the Turkestan region in Kazakhstan."The new block, Budenovskoye 5, holds promise for further development and is an important step of Kazatomprom's strategy on replenishment of uranium resources," chief executive Meirzhan Yussupov said.
"We are delighted to have the support of AMAK and enter into this LOI with the hope of commencing work at the Qatan exploration licence in the coming months."The Qatan exploration license is around 73,247sq.km and located around 70km east of AMAK's mines in the Najran province in Saudi Arabia.Power Metal Resources is trading around 17p, up almost 5% from the previous session. It has a market cap of £18.9 million.
