Rio Tinto announced initial mineral resources and ore reserves for the Salar del Rincon lithium brine deposits in Argentina.The Rincon project's mineral resources, inclusive of ore reserves, comprise 1.54Mt lithium carbonate equivalent of measured resources, 7.85Mt LCE of indicated resources and 2.29Mt LCE of inferred resources. The ore reserves comprise 2.07Mt LCE of probable ore reserves.
Gold and copper explorer KEFI has been awarded an exploration license for the Konso project in Ethiopia by the country's Ministry of Mines.The project is approximately 635km southwest of Addis Ababa and near the city of Arba Minch. The exploration license covers an area of 22sq.km.KEFI's share price dropped over 17% in the last week, currently trading around 0.51p.
