Many of London's night-time economy industries still face 'significant challenges' after the pandemic.

By Yasmin RufoLondon's night czar is encouraging people to use the extra hour gained by the clocks going back to enjoy and support the city's night-time economy.

She also wants VAT-free shopping for non-EU visitors but the government says it has already helped this sector. Her role and efforts to boost the night-time economy have been criticised by the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives."Our increasingly early closing and family unfriendly licensing laws threaten to make us look dour compared to other European cities."

Ms Lamé, has been in her role since 2016, and earns a salary of almost £117,000. She is also a writer and presenter on BBC Radio 6 Music.
