is again delighted to team up with its friends at Watford Museum to look at some structures or objects from the town’s past that have either disappeared or been relocated.
The museum's volunteer archivist Christine Orchard said:"Today, the triangular plot of land at the corner of Longspring and St Albans Road, North Watford, is a car park but prior to the 1950s it was occupied by Russell Lodge."Sometimes this lodge was described as Long Spring Lodge on postcards and illustrations, although I am not sure if it was known by this name locally."By the 1950s, North Watford was well and truly established as a residential area.
