Charlene White, a panellist on Loose Women , has disclosed that one of her co-stars sends her 'secret' notes during the live broadcast of the popular ITV show. Speaking to Caroline Hirons on her Glad We Had This Chat podcast, the ITV news presenter shared her experiences of the show and remembered a particularly 'naughty' habit of one of colleagues Denise Welch. The Loose Women star revealed: 'Denise does a really naughty thing, which I adore her for.
We'll be having a discussion about something or other and she'll just be writing something on a piece of paper and slip it over to me live on air.' However, it's the content of these mischievous notes that makes it difficult for her to maintain her composure: 'I might glance down at it and it will be some inappropriate bit of gossip that she really shouldn't be telling me, and then I've got to keep a straight face and I'm like hmmm, and then carry on talking meanwhile I can see her internally absolutely killing herself laughing.' In addition to revealing this about one of her co-stars, Charlene also discussed how she transitioned into chat show TV, telling Caroline: 'My entire career has sort of been me sat there going 'what do I want to do? I want to do this' and then I'll figure out a way to do it.' The presenter, a staple on ITV news, shared her journey to become part of the Loose Women team nearly four years ago: 'I have wanted to do Loose Women for a while, and so, I'd been pushing it for a while, and that pushing finally came off four years ago when I was invited in for a meeting and we had a bit of chat and they liked what I had to say. I just think it's one of the most incredible shows I've ever worked on.' On top of her duties on Loose Women and reading the news on ITV, she made headlines in November 2022 as the first celebrity to be voted out of 'I'm A Celebrity'
