The 'Summer Walk' is having its moment in the street style sun, too
With its distinctive white sole, and an upper available in suede, leather or — if you’re really pushing the yacht out — cashmere, the Summer Walk, to give the shoe its full title, has traditionally been the preserve of vacationing one-percenters; think Kendall Roy in Montauk. This year, we’re predicting the Walk will take a step into the hypesphere, too, with trainer fetishists binning their limited-edition New Balances in favour of low-profile moccasins.
Beyond Hill’s ’fit pic, evidence of Loro Piana’s rising street-style stock lies in its collaborations with Japanese designer and musician Hiroshi Fujiwara, plus the brand is a favourite of TikTok star Gstaad Guy, a Gen-Z influencer with likes in the millions. ○
