The ITV broadcaster thanked the staff at Monklands Hospital in Airdrie for all their help and support during her show on Monday after her mum Anne fell ill earlier this summer with a 'really bad' kidney problem.
Lorraine Kelly thanked staff at a Scots hospital after her mum made a full recovery from a serious health issue.
The 63-year-old broadcaster hadn't shared what illness Anne was suffering from until today, when she opened up on the "really bad kidney problem" she'd faced during a chat with Dr Hilary Jones on Monday's show. Sharing a snap of her mum Anne and her dad, John, on the programme, Lorraine added: "Look she's beaming, she looks really well. She's out galavanting - that's my wee dad as well."
She said: "Six weeks ago mum was in @nhslanarkshire Monklands Hospital - thanks to fantastic care she received there and to my brother @grahamk89 looking after her - she’s now out galavanting!"
