A motorist was rushed to hospital after a lorry burst into flames on a quiet Lanarkshire road on Tuesday.
Two fire appliances were mobilised and the road was closed by police for several hours. Firefighters were eventually able to extinguish the blaze and secure the area, with the road fully reopened just before 8pm. A second clip taken shortly afterwards shows the lorry completly engulfed by the blaze. The fireball has consumed the entire length of the goods vehicle, with some of the truck's panels seemingly melted away by the inferno.
"One casualty was passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene at 6.30pm after ensuring the area was made safe."
