Pennsylvania University researchers found that people who lost weight saw improved sleep apnea symptoms - but the best predictor of relief was shrinking tongue size and fat content.
Some 22 million Americans have obstructive sleep apnea that causes them to briefly stop breathing and to snore loudly. People who are overweight or obese are at far greater risk of the condition.
