MANILA, Philippines: Bella Belen admitted that the NU Lady Bulldogs' 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 19-25, 12-15 loss to the defending champs De La Salle Lady Spikers last Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum sure did hurt.

MANILA, Philippines: Bella Belen admitted that the NU Lady Bulldogs' 25-15, 19-25, 25-18, 19-25, 12-15 loss to the defending champs De La Salle Lady Spikers last Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum sure did hurt.Devastating as the defeat was, Belen, the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player two seasons ago, said that the Lady Bulldogs cannot be 'sad girl' about it, saying that there's simply no room to dwell on the loss as the second round starts right away.

'Despite this mindset, the Bulldogs started slow against the UP Fighting Maroons on Wednesday, March 20 still at The Big Dome, and Belen was the first to admit that such a start was a result of them having not completely moved on from that La Salle defeat.'We got off to a slow start and I don't know why. It seems that even though we said that we have already moved on from our loss to La Salle, there's still a part of us that hasn't moved on.
