The Mobile Museum will be open to fans Tuesday-Thursday outside Rickwood Field, site of the “Tribute to the Negro Leagues” game. In addition to various historical displays and live demonstrations of how bats are made, a number of priceless artifacts will be showcased in “interactive” displays.Game-used bats belonging to MLB legends Willie Mays and Hank Aaron, will be present, as will those used by Frank Robinson, Roberto Clemente and others.

Hillerich & Bradsby Co., which owns and operates the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, has been making bats since 1884. Numerous Negro League legends — including Hall-of-Famer Martin Dihigo — used Louisville Slugger bats, while Jackie Robinson signed his first Louisville Slugger contract in 1946.If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
