Love Island bosses have said the door is still open for Caroline Flack to return as host of Love Island.
The hit ITV2 show's commissioning editor has now confirmed that 34 year old Laura might not be a permanent replacement, and Caroline could return in the future. She said: "When Caroline stepped down, she actually sent me a text message saying, 'I really hope you get to do this series'." She continued: "Again.. thank you for you continuous messages of support .. it's a really rough time ... but I'm doing all can to keep my head above water and sort this all out [heart emoji]... [sic]"View gallery Caroline's emotional statement came after Laura was officially announced as the new host of the show by ITV.
