In a video shared to Love Island’s Twitter account, Ekin-Su and Davide look ecstatic as they shared their disbelief at being named the public’s favourite couple.Jumping in, Davide added: ‘I didn’t expect it. I still don’t believe it.’‘I can’t believe it,’ Ekin-Su agreed. ‘I think everyone’s winners in here and I just feel really lucky to be here.’Still beaming from cheek to cheek, Ekin-Su told fans: ‘Thank you for everyone for going on our journey with us, it means so much, so much.
Shortly after being announced victors on Monday night, Davide revealed his favourite moment in the villa was branding Ekin-Su a ‘liar’ in a now iconic moment. But he also sweetly told host Laura he would be bringing Ekin-Su to Italy to meet the rest of his family after she got the seal of approval from his mother and sister.
While fans were delighted the fiery couple won the reality series, they were less pleased about an unannounced shake-up of the show’s format.
