Former Love Island star Mitchel Taylor has opened up about the dark times he suffered after being faced with false allegations., confessing that he "wanted to kill himself". The TV star, aged 28, was embroiled in controversy last year when he was accused of disrespecting a homeless person and making homophobic remarks - allegations he firmly denied.
He went on to say, during the emotional podcast interview: "I'll be honest, I've never spoken about it. This time last year I got cancelled for a false accusation and I don't want to sound like a bad person when I say this but I never took mental health seriously.
In a heart-wrenching admission, Mitch admitted he had never had "dark thoughts" until that moment and then went onto say: "It absolutely crushed me. The thoughts I had, I wanted to kill myself, seriously, I thought 'I can't do it.'".
