LoveIsland viewers divided over Laura Whitmore as she replaces Caroline Flack as host
Love Island viewers have been left divided by new host Laura Whitmore after she made her debut in the new series' first episode.
But some fans of the show were begging for the former X Factor host to return to the role on Twitter. While a fourth chimed: "Laura Whitmore is alright, no hate but she just doesn't have that same presence as Caroline." Another wrote: "Laura Whitmore is honestly the perfect replacement, always loved her," as a fifth said: "Laura has already nailed the slow walk."A final fan wrote: "I am rooting for Laura Whitmore yes Irish queen."She wrote to her 2.3million Instagram followers: "Massive good luck to Laura, Iain and the team for tonight’s launch show… the first one always the best one. Caroline x.
She said: "When Caroline stepped down, she actually sent me a text message saying, 'I really hope you get to do this series'."
