Reality TV star Jack Fincham, best known for his win on Love Island in 2018, has been granted bail after appealing his six-week prison sentence for being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. Fincham was convicted of two counts related to separate incidents involving his Cane Corso, Elvis, causing injuries to a runner and a woman. While neighbours describe Elvis as 'scary', Fincham and his girlfriend Chloe Brockett appeared unfazed by the legal proceedings, enjoying a spa break and public displays of affection.

Reality TV star Jack Fincham has been freed on bail after appealing his six-week prison sentence for a dog attack . Fincham, known for his appearance on Love Island in 2018, was convicted on Wednesday of two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. The charges stemmed from separate incidents involving a runner in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022, and a woman in Grays, Essex, in June 2024. After pleading guilty, Fincham was sentenced to six weeks in prison.

However, his lawyer filed an appeal against the sentence, and he was granted bail pending the outcome of the appeal. Fincham was seen walking hand-in-hand with his on-and-off girlfriend Chloe Brockett shortly after the court appearance, kissing and appearing unfazed by the ordeal. The couple were later spotted enjoying a spa break together just days before the verdict was delivered. Fincham's dog, a Cane Corso named Elvis, was involved in both incidents. Neighbours on Fincham's street described the dog as 'scary' and said they had not seen him for some time. One neighbour stated: 'I'm a bit nervous of dogs anyway, but it is a scary looking dog. He's quite an intimidating looking dog. I was always quite glad I was at the other end of the road because it's quite a boisterous dog.' Another neighbour added: 'He looks like a fighting dog, a bully faced dog - Elvis I think. 'I think my husband met the dog we're talking about when he took our dog for a walk. I think he does take orders, but maybe at that time of the attack he didn't see what happened.' In the September 2022 incident, the victim initially agreed to accept an apology and a caution. This would have required Fincham to complete a responsible dog ownership course and adhere to three conditions: keeping the dog on a leash, having the dog wear a muzzle in public, and ensuring the dog was not left unsupervised with anyone under 16. However, the June 2024 incident, where the dog grabbed a woman's leg, led to the more serious charges and prison sentence.
