EXCLUSIVE: LoveIsland's Amy says bosses 'force-fed' her after stress saw her shed pounds
HEARTBROKEN Love Island star Amy Hart quit the show for the sake of her mental health — saying she could not bear to see her ex Curtis Pritchard moving on with Maura Higgins.
“I was grieving the loss of my first love, living in a house with him and watching one of my alleged friends get with him. Amy quit ITV2’s dating reality show on Monday after ballroom dancer Curtis, 23, dumped her after having his head turned by some of the villa’s new arrivals. Amy was shown pictures of the footage ahead of the episode being screened — and admitted it would have been hard to take if she had still been on the show.“If I saw that, I would have been beside myself. It would have been awful. If I’d stayed I would have brought everyone down.”
Amy fears that Curtis may have been using her popularity as a vehicle to win the show, hiding his true feelings. She said: “It will be devastating if I find out he was playing a game.” “Going through my first major heartbreak on television isn’t the wisest choice. It’s embarrassing to have the younger people in the villa guiding me through my heartbreak.”
