There is excitement for the future of William Brookes School in Much Wenlock, now under the new leadership of former students who have a clear vision to make this school one of sporting excellence.in 1890 as a guest of Dr William Penny Brookes. The French philosopher believed in educating the whole body and mind, and after seeing the very place at the school where the Wenlock Olympian Games took place, he went on to create the modern games that are held every four years.

Elsewhere, there is box office for 'The Edge' - the school's state-of-the-art theatre run by the school and volunteers in the community. In the wellbeing room with Winnie the rabbit are students, from left to right: Tom McIntyre, 13, Priya Free, 13, Josh Howen, 14, Poppy Cross, 13 There are dance and music studios which add to the school's exceptional offering alongside its swimming pool and gym, and more recently its new 'Wellbeing' classroom which features some rabbits.
