Light to intense rains are expected over different parts of the country due to the low pressure (LPA) located east of Surigao del Norte and the shear line, state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said moderate to heavy with at times intense rains will be experienced over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Negros Occidental.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding and rain-induced landslides especially in areas that are prone to these hazards and those with significant antecedent rainfall. The LPA remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.
