LPA will no longer affect PH, but ‘amihan’ rains continue — PAGASA READ:

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Tuesday, Feb. 21 said the low pressure area that brought rains last week is no longer expected to affect any part of the country.“The low pressure area will no longer be affecting the eastern section of Luzon as it continues to move generally northeastward,” PAGASA said in its advisory.

However, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” may continue to cause cloudy and rainy weather in the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur. PAGASA warned those in these areas to remain alert due to the threat of flooding or landslides caused by moderate to occasional heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with light monsoon rains. PAGASA said the Visayas and Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorm activities.
