Lucifer O'Malia reached speeds of up to 110mph and travelled around 20 miles as he sought to avoid the clutches of the police before eventually being arrested in a park. Liverpool Crown Court heard today, Tuesday, that an unmarked patrol spotted the 21-year-old speeding on Foul Lane in Southport shortly before 8.30pm on May 27 this year.
O'Malia subsequently failed to attend appointments under a mental health treatment requirement as part of his community order on two occasions in April 2024. Ben Berkson, defending, told the court: 'He has ruined what was a rather merciful sentence in respect of the community order. 'This was an order which the defendant remains of the belief would be incredibly helpful to him.
