An inquiry into how serial killer Lucy Letby was able to murder children on a neonatal ward will examine whether there was a cover-up at the Countess of Chester hospital. The Thirlwall Inquiry, led by Lady Justice Kathryn Thirlwall, opened at Liverpool Town Hall this morning, Tuesday, September 10 and will examine how Letby was able to carry out the murders of a number of babies at the Chester hospital in 2015 and 2016 .
