Darts star Luke Littler reveals plans to combat Dutch abuse in Michael van Gerwen clash
Luke Littler has revealed how he plans to tackle a hostile home crowd as he faces Michael van Gerwen in a repeat of this year's World Championship final.Widely regarded as one of the greatest darts players in the world, and a hero of the Netherlands, Van Gerwen will look to exact revenge in whatSpeaking exclusively to talkSPORT, Littler admitted that he was anticipating a lot of abuse from the Dutch crowd tomorrow.
"It would be a good thing to beat him in his backyard, just winning that game and guaranteeing myself in the semi-final" he said. Meanwhile, three-time world champion Van Gerwen thrashed compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode 6-1 earlier in the night to earn his spot in the next round.Van Gerwen will relish the home crowd's support in Den Bosch for the quarter-final, especially given his high status in the Dutch sporting world.
