Mere hours after Lupita Nyong’o was seen carrying a cat purse on the red carpet, the Oscar-winning actor decided to trade out her accessory for the real thing. Could this be the return of the pet-as-fashion-accessory trend?Well, while Nyong’o is the proud mom of a cat named Yoyo, the furry friend she brought onto the carpet yesterday wasn’t actually a pet, but rather one of the actor’s costars from her new horror flick A Quiet Place: Day One.

The linen suit was slightly sheer, so the duo layered a bubblegum top underneath, which peeked out from behind the blazer’s lapels. They also added a pair of pointy white pumps.Nyong’o went regal with her accessories, which included a wide, sparkly diamond collar necklace that was constructed like a web of gems, and a cuff bracelet to match. Then, she added on diamond earrings and a large silver ring.
