A 21-year-old man was found with knife wounds on Church Street in Liverpool city centre
A popular shop has been closed following a knife incident in Liverpool city centre . Police were seen investigating the area outside Lush on Church Street which was cordoned off on Friday, August 23. Merseyside Police were called at around 8.55pm on Thursday, August 22 following reports a 21-year-old man had been found on Church Street with injuries to his body consistent with a bladed weapon being used.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said enquiries are ongoing and witness and CCTV enquiries were being carried out in the local area. Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “This was a nasty attack that has left a man in a serious condition in hospital. 'The investigation is in the very early stages as we seek to establish what has happened in the lead up to this incident, but we believe there were around seven young males involved.
