The QPR striker had to be stretchered off during a Friday training session at Lesser Hampden, sparking fears that the former Queen of the South and Livingston man wouldn’t be going to Germany as part of Steve Clarke ’s 23-man squad. Now the Scottish FA have confirmed that the Aussie-born hitman’s dreams of starring in the finals has been dashed.
The Scotland National Team X account posted: "Following an injury in training yesterday, Lyndon Dykes has been ruled out of the squad for UEFA EURO 2024. We’re gutted for you, Lyndon, but know you’ll be back in a Scotland shirt soon. Wishing you a speedy recovery."
