And now, Marks and Spencer has released the ultimate summer trouser that’s ‘easy to wear for all shapes and ages’. The retailer's Pure Cotton Drawstring Barrel Leg Ankle Grazer Trousers have quickly become a hit thanks to their relaxed silhouette, lightweight cotton fabric and easy-to-wear design. Available for £30, the trousers feature a high-waisted fit, elasticated drawstring waistband and on-trend barrel leg shape that finishes at the ankle.
Made from 100% cotton, the trousers are breathable, making them a top pick for hotter temperatures without having to get your legs out. Coming in two colours - black and white - customers have been begging for the retailer to release them in more shades. The M&S version appears to offer a similar look without a hefty price tag, tipped as an affordable alternative to the likes of Cos. One M&S customer said: “These are just like the Cos barrel trousers, but half the price! Meanwhile, at Uniqlo, the Jersey Barrel Leg Trousers are made from just 31% cotton, and are still more expensive than Marks and Spencer’s at £34.90. They come in seven colours, from dark green to off white, with a near-perfect 4.8 star rating based on more than 1,000 customer reviews. Back at M&S, their popular summer trousers have earned a 4.4 star rating based on more than 40 reviews earned in the last three months. One delighted customer wrote: "Great trousers.
Very comfy, lightweight and quick drying. Great for travelling and staying cool.
" One 70-year-old shopper described the trousers as a wardrobe essential, revealing that both she and her teenage granddaughter are fans. She said: "These are so on trend and at a brilliant price. A must-have style for this summer and so easy to wear for all shapes and ages. I am 70 and love them, my granddaughter of 18 wants a pair.
