M-Sport has unveiled its redesigned Ford Puma for the 2025 World Rally Championship, featuring a new navy blue livery. The British team will field two full-time entries, led by Gregoire Munster and joined by Rally1 newcomer Josh McErlean. M-Sport has also made changes to the Puma's engine mapping and gear ratios following the FIA's decision to remove hybrid power from Rally1 cars.

M-Sport has unveiled its redesigned Ford Puma , ready to compete in the 2025 World Rally Championship , ahead of the Monte Carlo season opener. The British team has adopted a fresh navy blue livery, continuing its partnership with energy drinks giant Red Bull and technology company SafetyCulture. M-Sport will field two full-time entries this season. Gregoire Munster , who will now lead the team following Adrien Fourmaux's move to Hyundai, returns for a second year.

Joining him is Rally1 newcomer Josh McErlean. The team will also run a Puma for Martins Sesks in a partial six-round program starting at Rally Sweden, with privateer Jourdan Serderidis joining the team for the snow event. In addition to the new livery, M-Sport has focused on improving the Puma's engine mapping and developing new gear ratios. These adjustments come in response to the FIA's decision to remove hybrid power from Rally1 cars this year. Richard Millener, M-Sport team principal, acknowledged the challenges ahead. 'It is going to be a challenge this year and we have to be realistic as to what is achievable,' he said. 'The goal was to stay in the championship, that was the key thing, which is harder than it has ever been before. 'Losing Adrien was obviously a massive blow, but we just have to live with that. The goal was to find two drivers to allow us to continue. 'The goal was always to keep Gregoire in the car for a few seasons, to give him a chance to develop, so having a second year with him is great. 'It will come with pressure as he will be seen as the number one, and with that comes expectation - but that is external, not internal. 'We want to see him continue from how he finished last year, which was setting competitive times, and Josh has got the biggest challenge of everybody, so the approach of being very sensible will be key. 'If we try and take the fight to the other two teams, we will make ourselves look silly. We need to try and gain what we can with the people we have. 'But I’m happy we have these two drivers and a team to do the season, because I think the two options that people don’t understand is that it was either a young inexperienced team as such or no team. 'Having two youngsters gaining knowledge with no pressure can be a nice team environment and can help us go forward with another good year. We will do our own thing and see where we end up.” M-Sport's rivals, Toyota and Hyundai, have opted to retain their 2024 liveries for the upcoming season. Toyota has maintained its all-black GR Yaris, with modifications to the exhaust system and camshafts. Gear ratios have also been reviewed, along with other measures, to optimize the car's performance. Hyundai has kept its familiar sky blue and orange livery on its i20 N and will start the season in Monte Carlo with largely unchanged 2024 car. The team plans to unveil its heavily revised car at Rally Sweden next month.
