A car overturned following a horror crash involving a HGV on the M6 on Monday afternoon . Police, paramedics and an air ambulance raced to the incident on the southbound carriageway between junction 18 and 17.
An air ambulance was also scrambled to the scene of the major collision, near Sandbach, which initially caused all traffic to be stopped as emergency crews attended. Traffic was later released from the closure, with multiple lanes remaining closed throughout the afternoon. Details of the condition of those involved have not yet been confirmed by police.
