Not a fun place to be today M6
Earlier this month National Highways announced that they will be carrying out maintenance work renewing the waterproofing and surface on two bridges that carry the M6 over Whittingham Lane and Stubbins Lane, north of junction 32. This work is being carried out over the next four weekends.
Another driver said: "After three hours waiting in gridlock on the M6 southbound we've finally been told the road is closed. Miles after the last opportunity to turn off. For anyone heading to uni in the next four weeks, good luck!"
