An accident on the M6 Southbound between junctions 30 (M61) and 29 (M65 J1 Lostock Hall) has caused significant traffic disruption this morning. Congestion stretches back to junction 31 (Samlesbury), with average speeds for drivers reduced to 15 mph, according to AA Traffic Maps. Motorists traveling on the Northbound carriageway can also expect delays as people slow down to view the crash.
\Lancashire Police confirmed to LancsLive that the accident involved two vehicles and occurred on the slip road to the M61 from the M6. The collision was reported at 8:42 am and, fortunately, resulted in only damage.
