Three lanes are closed on the M61 with long delays in the area following a two-car crash resulting in a fire and four causalities.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 11.23am firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision on the M61 in Kearsley, Bolton which resulted in one car being on fire. One fire engine from Farnworth Fire Station quickly attended the scene where two cars had collided."One car was on fire with the driver suffering with neck and back pain, but not trapped in the vehicle. The other car had three causalities suffering with slight neck pain.
